Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation
The ABR® designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation demonstrates to peers and consumers a commitment to providing outstanding service to real estate buyers. The ABR® is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC)—a subsidiary of NAR—to REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
How to earn the ABR® designation:
- Successfully complete the two-day ABR® Designation Course
- Successfully complete one elective course
- Submit documents verifying five completed transactions as a buyer’s representative
- Be a member in good standing in both REBAC and NAR (or NAR cooperating international association)
What is the cost of annual REBAC membership?
REBAC membership dues are $110 annually. Your first year's membership in REBAC is included free with successful completion of the two-day Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Designation Course. Dues are billed annually, with your second year dues invoice prorated to bring your membership to a calendar billing cycle.
What are some of the benefits of belonging to REBAC?
REBAC benefits include an online directory, a private referral network, customizable marketing materials and buyer consultation handouts, suggested scripts for answering buyers’ frequently asked questions, and a monthly newsletter. REBAC keeps you abreast of marketing trends in the real estate industry, as well as legal and legislative issues.
